THANK YOU Plant Sale Friends

Thank you to everyone who made this year's plant sale a success. Students, parents, and staff working together for a common cause is just one of the things that makes CLS a wonderful place to be.

Thank you to the Norfolk community as you again supported our efforts this year. Over $75,000 was raised in plant sales and donations. Tuition assistance for all students and a new set of risors for musicals, choirs, etc. are ways that this money will be used.

Varsity Boys Basketball At
National Tournament

Thank you to everyone who supported the fundraising events to send the boys to the national tournament in Indiana.

The boys gave it a good effort, but lost in their opening game Friday night 36 -24 against Christ Lutheran, Peoria Illinois.

The boys came back Saturday morning to win their second game against Trinity Klein Lutheran of Spring Texas 41-19.

The Tigers continue their winning streak as they finish 46-30 against Trinity Lutheran of Jefferson City, MO.

During a valiant effort in their third game of the day, the Tigers battled off and on for the lead. Immanuel Lutheran of Palatine, Illinois pulled ahead and finished the game on top with a score of 52 - 38 over the Christ Lutheran Tigers. Tigers we are proud of you. You come back winners to us!

The boys thank you for your support.

Game brackets are viewable here.

Lutheran Schools Ranked
#1 in the Country!

The NAEP report, often called the "Nation's Report Card" ranked the Lutheran School system the #1 school system in the country! When compared to public schools, charter schools, and other large school systems, the system of Lutheran grade schools and high schools was ranked the best academic system. Christ Lutheran is proud to be a member of that system.

Additionally, a new report released by ACT shows that students who attend private schools are significantly more ready for college than students who attend public schools. These are two more excellent reasons to celebrate the great work God is doing at Christ Lutheran & Lutheran High School Northeast.

One Body - Many Members

Our theme for this school year is based on 1 Corinthians 12:27 which states, "Nowyou are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.
Our school is a prime example of how that verse is put into practice on a daily basis. We need all the parts, in order to have a working body. Parents, students, teachers, cooks, custodian, secretaries, and support staff are all a necessary part. If one is missing; we as a body, feel that loss.
I am looking forward to your partnership this year.
