AND Matthew 6:34 Give you entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Connection to CLS: In addition to being a member at Christ Lutheran Church, my daughter Anastasia is a fifth grader, and has attended here since we moved to Norfolk in her second grade year.

Favorite Bible Verse: I consider this a trick question! If I had to choose only one verse right now, it would be Phillipians 3:14: I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Best thing about CLS: The best thing about Christ Lutheran is just that: Christ. Here, he is not only the foundation of our very being, but the way of life. We have the chance to live in Him as we teach, learn, and serve at a school which is unafraid to embrace the very basic truths of life.

Grace Lutheran Representative Karri Wiederin

Connection to CLS: Cael Wiederin: 8th Grade Mia Wiederin: 5th Grade

Favorite Bible Verse:

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Best thing about CLS:

One of the best things about CLS is the chance to learn God’s word on a daily basis during the school day. It’s great to see the kids grow so strong in their faith at such a young age.

Favorite Bible verse:  Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. (1 Corinthians 16: 13

Best thing about CLS
What I like most about CLS is that my children grow both spiritually and academically every day that they are there. I enjoy being able to watch my children’s faith grow.  This could not be done without the amazing faculty and staff that have__ accepted the call to serve at CLS.

Christ Lutheran Representative Daniel Blomenberg

Favorite Bible Verse-
(Jesus said), "Let the children come to me; do not hinder them for to such belongs the kingcom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." Mark 10:14-15/Luke 18:16-17

Christ Lutheran Representative Robert Hafer

Occupation: Computer Aided Drafter / Quality Checker

Connection to CLS: My oldest son is attending Christ Lutheran School and our other children will also be attending when they are old enough. My family and I are members of Christ Lutheran Church.

Favorite Bible verse: “But if you are unwilling to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)

Best thing about CLS: My children are able to go to a school where they can talk about God openly and can talk about their faith with their friends and even ask questions about their faith to their teachers without getting in trouble for it.

Christ Lutheran Representative John Hancock

Christ Lutheran Representative Amy Schroeter

Christ Lutheran Representative Ivan Petersen

Occupation: Real Estate Investor/Property Manager

Connection to CLS: Our family attends Christ Lutheran Church. We have three children attending CLS- Marshall (8th grade); Mason (6th grade); and Kendra (4th grade).

Favorite Bible Verse: Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28: 18-20

Best Thing About CLS: The principal, called teachers, and staff....they truly are disciples. They are passionate about discipleship and teaching everything God has commanded us. If I had to describe CLS in one word, it wouldn't be Christianity. It wouldn't be evangelism. It wouldn't be academics. It wouldn't be athletics. It wouldn't be bricks and mortar. It would be DISCIPLESHIP!
