Support for Christ Lutheran School

Christ Lutheran School is a mission of Christ Lutheran Church, in conjunction with the other Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod churches in Norfolk, Nebraska. Each congregation; Christ, Grace, Mt. Olive and Our Savior Lutheran reflects their committment to Christian education of children by subsidizing the tuition cost for members of their congregation who send their children to Christ Lutheran School.

These congregations pay 60% or more of that cost to keep tuition affordable to their families.

The second area of support comes from the remaining 40% or less in tuition charged to parents. Tuition assistance is available to families with a demonstrated need. Contact the school office for more information.

The third area of support is achieved through annual fund raising events held throughout the school year.

  • An Annual Fund Drive is held in the fall to raise money to be given as student assistance and other designated projects
  • In April each year a new event called REVEL is held. It is an evening of socialization for family and friends of Christ Lutheran School. A dinner, silent and live auctions, and guest speaker make up the evening's events. During the last year, money raised through the event went to lower tuition for all the families and to the School Foundation.
  • Each Spring Christ Lutheran School sponsors a Plant Sale held at the Northeast Community College Agriculture Complex. The proceeds of this project go to special improvements to the school outside of the regular budgeting.

The Christ Lutheran School Foundation is an organization that works for the benefit of all at the school through the reduction of tuition, funding of field trips, and special needs that occur at the school.
