I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I attended Concordia University, Seward and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Lutheran Teacher’s Diploma. In 2009, I returned to Concordia and earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
I taught first grade and third grade for 5 years at Peace Lutheran in Saginaw, Michigan. Then I took a ten-year “leave of absence” to raise our three children, Zachary, Christopher, and Katelyn. I have been teaching preschool at Christ Lutheran since 2004. I also serve as the preschool director.
My favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I love teaching preschool! We have so much fun learning new things in school. Knowing that God is using me to nurture the faith of my students is my favorite part! I also enjoy getting to know the families of preschoolers and keeping in touch with them throughout their child’s education.
During my free time I like to read, scrapbook, sew, and do other crafts. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, Keith, and our three children.
